About District 9810

Rotary District 9810 is located in South Eastern Victoria, Australia to the east of the Melbourne Central Business District. The district includes parts of the eastern and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne and then stretches east through the Yarra Valley and the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.

The area of the district is approximately 3200 square kilometres. To traverse the boundaries of District 9810 you can start at southwest corner at Chelsea and proceed along the bay to Hampton, and then north east to Templestowe, and east to Healesville, south to Upper Yarra and the meander west through the hills to Monbulk and Emerald. From there you move south west to Rowville and then south back to Chelsea. 

There are currently 51 Rotary clubs in District 9810 and we have almost 1500 Rotarians involved in all areas of Rotary service. There are also four Rotaract clubs for young people aged between 18 and 30 years who undertake community sevrice work.

The area as a producer of some of Australia's best wines, fruit and flowers. It includes a number of important commercial, business and industrial centres. We also have a number of important centres of tertiary education, medicine and advanced scientific and technological research. The District covers a number of important municipalities, and, of course,this is an area where Melburnians really like to live.
