Rotary is a worldwide service organisation consisting of professional men and women who work as volunteers ro improve the quality of life in their home and world community. Club membership represents a cross-section of business and professional leaders.
The main objective of Rotary is service – in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world. Rotary volunteers build goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian service and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations.

There are over 1.2 million members working in 32,800 Rotary clubs in 168 countries. For administrative purposes, Rotary clubs are arranged in 532 districts worldwide.
In Australia, there are 23 Rotary districts, nearly 1,200 Rotary clubs and some 36,000 members.
